Description

The All Distance Pocket Ensign No 2 is a metal bodies camera, of conventional folding format, and finished in black leather finish. It caries an orange ENSIGN logo on the outside of the front panel. This example is generally in very good condition.

Lens bears its name on the surround, and identifies the corresponding patent 271186.

The camera has a cover over the red window, which can be swung away when winding the film, and carries patent number 280352. This relates to the pressure plate that is raised into position when the cover over the red window is closed.

Notes

This is basically the same body as used for the All Distance Pocket Ensign No 1, but in the latter case the body is not leather covered, being finished in a "crystalline" finish, available in several colours.
