This cottage is number 5 in the numbered series of cottages produced by Mudlen End Studio and is referred to as the Labourers Cottage or more usually Grannies Cottage.

The example below is thought to be an early version of the Grannies Cottage model and has a slightly different moulding to the front face and is therefore decorated differently.

The photos below show the early model alongside examples of the later version of the Grannies Cottage model, showing other examples of the decoration that are typical of the variations encountered in this model even in the later series.

 

Notes

While the model occurs in various colour schemes (notably the shade of roof), I have not come across any examples of this model in alternate colours. The decoration to the front can vary in detail (and quality).
