No 23 Corner House
This cottage is number 23 in the numbered series of cottages produced by Mudlen End Studio and is identified in the Mudlen brochure as "A Corner house for your expanding collection".
The group of 4 smaller pictures in the grid below show other shots of this example of the Mudlen Corner House.
There is also an early version of this model, which was clearly made from an entirely different mould and is very hard to find. There are two distinctive features that stand out about this early model. Firstly the upper story is shown in plain plaster while the lower story has exposed beams. This is the complete reverse of the later common version. The second key feature is the fact that the early model has a corner post supporting the upper jettied storey.
The photographs below show the early model on the left, alongside the much more common later version.
The base that was used for the supporting post on the early model is still hinted at on the later model, but it is much less prominent.
The markings on the early model on the left are very indistinct and not visible in the photograph.
The later version of the model is quite easy to find [Common], and is available in a variety of colours finishes, notably red [Uncommon]. Other theme colours may also exist, but I have not yet come across them. The roof colour can vary significantly. The early model is very hard to find [scarce].
